About Me You can see my photos -{Here}-

I'm a happily divorced single dad (19 year old son, 16 year old daughter). April and May are the best months of the year because I get to hang out at Scarborough Faire! (March is nice too because the kids and I get our annual Orlando trip.)

I work for the taxpayers but I'm really not that bad a guy.
Music Almost anything, except country or rap. In no particular order: Elvis Costello, Donal Hinely (he pushes the country limit sometimes but is still a musical god), Jim Hancock, NIN, Papa Roach, Paul Butterfield, Glenn Miller, Sinead O'Conner, Bjork, Pink Floyd, ICP. I could go on forever.

I love music and always have something playing. It's like having a soundtrack to my life. Can't list them all, I have over 500 CD's; what can I say I love music.
Movies Comedies, Sci-Fi, Action, even the ocassional chick flick.

Anything and everything by Kevin Smith. Nightmare Before Christmas, Princess Bride, Labyrinth, Dark Crystal, Any Star Trek flick, Fifth Element, Rocky Horror Picture Show, Hedwig, What the Bleep Do We Know?, Priscilla Queen of the Desert, any John Cusack. (I have over 200 DVD's you can't pin me down on movie favorites either)
TV Not much really. I'm not "too smart for TV" I just don't like much of the current crop of shows... I'm glad my reality is nothing like "reality TV"

I like a lot of older shows (thank dog for DVD's) Hogan's Heroes, Prisoner, Simpsons, Stargate, Dead like me, Southpark.

    I watch DVD's mostly.
Books I am an avid reader! I could lose the TV but not my books!!

Lately I've taken a real interest in old fairy tales (Dutch, Irish, Norwegian, anything I can get my hands on) Storytelling is a dieing art.

Tons of Sci-Fi and philosophy. Dragonriders of Pern, Darkover, Gor, Star Trek (not really a trekkie, I just enjoy it). Anything by Piers Anthony, or Kipling.

For light reading I enjoy Stephen Hawkings, Einstein, and Douglas Adams. (or is that my philosophical reading?)
Likes Scarborough Faire? Well of course.

I like camping, going to movies, I LOVE trying new restaurants, and as a vegetarian it can be a challenge!
Dislikes Liars or cheaters. Oh, and idiots (but that is all of us sometimes isn't it?)
Hobbies I think I have ADD....Depending on my mood I will be making chainmaille, playing online MMO's (Ultima, Guild Wars, City of Heroes), playing my harmonica (I suck but it's fun), working on my train set, sewing, playing with my crystal stix or yoyo, is napping a hobby?
Vices I have been single and raising the kids so long I don't have any vices...anyone care to help me develop a few??

I have a terrible memory so if I seem to forget something I'm not blowing you off. (it is a side affect of my long term headache-going since '92)
Virtues I'm pretty honest, and I'll help you move.

    I'm a bit of a hermit...is that a vice or a virtue??
Heroes Pee-Wee Herman, Thomas Jefferson, A.C. Bhaktivedanta Swami Prabhupada. (no particular order)

RESCU Foundation (Renaissance Entertainers, Services, and Crafters United)

First I would like to let you know I’m not hitting you up for money… although I would not turn it down.

I am working with the RESCU Foundation to find local doctors, nurses, dentists, lawyers, and mental health professionals that would be willing to perform discounted, or free, services for the renaissance community.  We are also looking for anyone that can give first aid and or CPR training.

The RESCU Foundation is a federally compliant 501c3 organization.   Utilizing donations, an all volunteer staff, and an advocacy program they serve the financial needs of the ren community in times of medical crisis.  Very few of the faire professionals have medical or dental insurance and they need our help.  Also there is a need for general health care and immunizations for children of faire professionals.

If any of you in the Dallas/Waxahachie area happen to be a medical professional, or know someone that may be interested in helping out, please let me know.  You can contact me at tim@tukaram.net.  Texas also has faires near Austin and Houston, they could also use our help.  If you are in other parts of the country but have a faire near you and want to help please contact the foundation at http://rescufoundation.org/

    RENAISSANCE PICK-UP LINES

    - "Hey, Princess, you wouldn't happen to know where a lonely knight could scabbard his sword, would you?"

    - "Been there, slain that."

    - "What's a nice maiden like you doing in a dungeon like this?"

    - "They don't call me Lance-A-Lot for nothing, you know."

    - "When the Inquisition put me on the rack, my limbs weren't the only thing they stretched."

    - "Dost thou know? That chastity belt of yours would look great on my sleeping chambers floor."

    - Wench: "What's that sound?" Knight: "That's just the sound of my chain mail drawers expanding."

    - "Thou hast hit on me harder than the black plague!"

    - "Your hovel or mine?"

    - "Pardon me, madam, but wouldeth thou like to see my long sword in action?"

    - "Dost thou practice safe hex?"

    - "Milady, it's not the size of the wand that matters, but the magic within."

    - "I have the key to your chastity belt and you have the key to my heart."

    - "You should be glad I'm not a Viking."

    - "You would have been ravaged and plundered by now."

    - "I lost my leg in battle. Guess what I'm walking on!"

    - "Yes, fair maiden, I am indeed a wizard. Shall I make your clothes disappear?"

    - "You won't believe this but St. George just appeared to me in a vision and told me that I must bed you...the fate of England depends on it!!"

    - "I'm really a prince cursed by an evil witch. Tell me, do you have sex with frogs?"

    - "My! But you are a beautiful damsel in distress! Allow me to help you out of it."

    - "I've been VERY NAUGHTY. You'll have to put me in the stocks and...er...PUNISH me, now won't you?"

    - "You know, I was once imprisoned in a tower very much like Rapunzel. Only it wasn't my hair that the queen asked me to let down."

    - "I may not be a priest, but I can get you to heaven, m'lady."

    - "C'mon, sweetie...didn't your mother ever tell you? A cleric a day keeps the black plague away."
